‘Les Ordinaires is an improvised feminist show that deals with gender-based violence. The show was born out of a common desire to deal in an open and off-beat way with the social mask and societal pressures that we experience and put others through on a daily basis’.

Closing projection: Mustang by Deniz Gamze Ergüven (2015)

Tuesday, 27 November: 6.30 pm Émilie du Châtelet lecture theatre (BMC)
‘It's the beginning of summer. In a remote village in Turkey, Lale and her four sisters come home from school playing with boys and trigger a scandal with unexpected consequences. The family home is gradually turning into a prison, housekeeping classes are replacing school and marriages are starting to be arranged.
The five sisters, driven by the same desire for freedom, push back against the boundaries imposed on them’.
